INSTRUCTIONS FOR ASSESSMENT
There are three (3) topics below. Students are required to write a short essay (500-800 words max) on each topic to demonstrate your knowledge and ability to research and report on each topic. All three (3) topics have been covered in your lessons and readings. You may need to revise and consolidate the key concepts of each topic before writing your essays.
Please reference any sources you refer to using the appropriate in text style from the Harvard referencing system. A short list under the heading ‘references’ will suffice for such a short essay.
Please include three (3) essential components for your essay:
• Introduction
• Body
• Conclusion.
Essays are to be word processed and comply with the following requirements.
All written submissions MUST:
• Include a duly completed Metropolitan South Institute of TAFE (MSIT) Assessment/Assignment Cover Sheet (QF304);
• USE 12 POINT BODY TEXT – Preferably Times New Roman or Arial;
• Be 1.5 Line spaced and typed single sided on A4 paper;
• Include a 3cm margin down both sides of each page;
• Use sequential page numbering including student name and number;
• Include titled and referenced charts and diagrams where applicable;
• Use the Harvard system of referencing (if you refer to any other source);
• Be concise and demonstrate depth and breadth of research related to the topic;
• Demonstrate research outside the lectures, and recommended texts;
• Use specific examples to illustrate your discussion;
• Be proof read ensuring correct grammar, spelling and syntax;
