Analysis of Jobs

Order Description

For over two millennia now, Job of Uz has reigned as the quintessential model of the patient and suffering righteous one. Rabbinic Judaism entertained a variety of hermeneutical possibilities in regard to Job and the hardships that befall him, but reinforced by the Testament of Job, the portrait of Job as a righteous and patient sufferer came to underlie the traditional Christian view, as evidenced by the Epistle of James (5:11). Read the first four and last four chapters of the book of Job and write a full one-page essay in which you assess Job’s character and argue for the theodicy that results from his interaction with God. In other words, what is the book’s answer to the question of suffering and evil in the world?

THIS ESSAY SHOULD BE A CRITICAL ANALYSIS ANSWERING THE QUESTION IN DEEP THOUGHT AND CLARITY. THIS SHOULD NOT BE A SUMMARY. THERE SHOULD BE NO QUOTES USED… THE ONLY SOURCE THAT SHOULD BE USED IS THE BIBLE. THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY “THE BIBLE PASSAGES 1-9 STATES” THE BIBLE PASSAGES SHOULD NOT BE CITED ANYWHERE EXCEPT AT THE END OF THE INFORMATION NEEDED IN THE FORM: ( HOSEA 7:9)  FOLLOW ALL THESE DIRECTIONS CLEARLY.
