As the first assignment, please do the following:
Select a healthcare organization of your choice such as Kaiser Permanente, Veterans Health Administration, TRICARE, Cleveland Clinic, etc. and provide a brief introduction, including the organization mission, long or short term goals and cost cutting strategies.
Gather as much information about the program as possible since the remainder of the Session Long Project will focus upon information specific to the program.
NOTE: The rationale for this assignment is to provide an opportunity for you to look deeper into a healthcare organization and its delivery of healthcare services including its leadership and its strategy in complying with being an Accountable Care Organization and complying with the Affordable Care Act of 2010.

You will be assessed on your understanding of your selected organization mission and strategy.
You will be evaluated on your understanding of the organization you selected long and short term goals and objectives and its strategy.
Please write your paper in your own words. That is the only way I can evaluate your level of understanding.
In order to earn full credit, you must clearly show that you have read the module homepage and ALL required background materials.
You are encouraged to do additional research in addition to the required readings.
Be sure to cite your references in the text of all papers and on the reference list at the end. For examples, look at the way the references are listed within the modules and on the background reading list.
Proofread your paper to be sure grammar and punctuation are correct, and that each part of the assignment has been answered clearly.
